Perhaps you have heard of the
Blacks In Science Calendar. Since the beginning of this calendar in 1986, marketing and
distribution have been successes. We received orders from schools, corporations, government
agencies, civic organizations, and individuals throughout the United States. Calendar
requests were also received from government agencies and educational institutions in many
African and other Third World countries.
The African Scientific Institute
(ASI), producer of the Blacks In Science Calendar, was pleased with many correspondences from parents and children who wrote us expressing shock and dismay about the great
inventions and achievements by African-Americans which have been depicted in our calendar.
Literature regarding the Blacks In Science Calendar was distributed to thousands of people
throughout the United States. Additionally it was advertised in the nationally
distributed SciTech newspaper.
Many of the contributions by
African-American scientists, engineers, and inventors, which were studied extensively by
our researchers, were listed in this calendar. The Blacks In
Science Calendars featured fine pictures of contemporary
African-Americans which reflected their contributions in the world of science and
technology.
As you turned the sheets of this
15" x 22" (when opened) spiral bound calendar, you gained a wonderful appreciation
of significant contributions made by scientists to enhance developments of mankind.
