Dr. Todd Singleton, Ph.D. Todd received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, where he played four years of division I basketball. He then attended Stanford University on a fellowship to continue his studies of Electrical Engineering and Software Systems. While at Stanford, he was active in the entrepreneurial community. In 2002, he took first place in Stanford's first annual Social Entrepreneurship Challenge amongst a field of 32 teams from North America and Europe. His winning entry was for a program to support the recreational inclusion of special needs children through the sport of soccer. Today, this program still operates throughout the California Bay Area, and has just launched a sister program in Africa. There are over 100 children that actively participate in this program. Upon completing his masters at Stanford, Todd worked at various startups throughout Silicon Valley. Currently, Todd works as an architect for IBM Tivoli - a systems management software group. He serves as a technical lead for an open source storage management project called Aperi. Todd has worked for IBM for 5 years, specializing in middleware and OSGi technologies. |
