Ms. Joan Robinson-Berry
Aerospace Engineering

Joan Robinson-Berry, Boeing Director of Supplier Diversity for its Integrated Defense Systems business. She has recently been appointed the company’s Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) which involves integrating the over $5 billion dollar Small Business program across Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Phantom Works, Shared Services and Integrated Defense Systems Business Units. In addition, Joan is responsible for maintaining and improving Boeing relationships with the federal government on matters related to small business subcontracting and supplier diversity. Joan is responsible for developing strategies and integration plans to enhance Boeing relationship with HBCU’s, Industry Affiliations, and Minority Institutions; specifically focusing on innovative research partnerships which are key to IDS’ future business objectives. Ms. Robinson-Berry has an M.S. in Engineering Management & Business Administration and a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering. Her honors include The President’s Quality Award, the AES Women of Achievement, Women making a difference in technology and a Congressional Black Caucus – "Women Opening the Pipeline Award in 2005, Top Blacks in Technology 2003, Black Engineer of the Year- Career Achievement 2007. She also lent her talent overseas to create one of Africa’s first aerospace curriculums in Ghana.
