Mr. Pierce has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 40 years as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor on a wide variety of surveying projects, and 20 years as a Licensed Contractor. As Principal-in-Charge of the Universal Group of firms, he has the overall responsibility for all projects, working directly with the Operations Manager and professional staff to maintain constant oversight of all surveying, engineering, land development and construction matters - reviews survey procedures, checks and signs survey plats, and prepares property descriptions. Mr. Pierce's experience includes conducting control, cadastral, topographic, hydrographic, route surveys, and right-of-way engineering throughout California. In addition to his experience in field of surveying, Mr. Pierce also has experience in site planning and engineering for various land development projects. He has organized a wall panel manufacturing section - Universal Structures - that will provide wall panels as a job generator and for the construction of affordable homes for the United States and Africa. In Alaska he was part of a team of six professional surveyors that surveyed over a million acres of land for the U.S. government to return to Native Americans. He has also performed land surveys and development projects in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Angola, and South Africa.
