A native of Jamaica, W.I., Dr. Meade earned his B.A. in Zoology at Fisk University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Entomology at the University of Minnesota. He spent the next 30 years as a research scientist at Du Pont de Nemours & Co, primarily involved in the research and development of crop protection chemicals. He has served as President of the International Society of African Scientists, and is currently engaged by the Government of Jamaica as Honorary Consul, based in Philadelphia, PA.
