Dr. Wade M. Kornegay, Ph.D.
Retired Division Head, MIT Lincoln Laboratory

Dr. Kornegay is a recognized expert on ballistic Missile defense. He has worked in the area of ballistic missile defense technology for 45 years. He conducted research and led efforts in remote sensing, detection and identification of objects at long distances throughout his career in technical staff and management positions. He served as head of Radar Measurements Division from 1993-2000. Dr. Kornegay is currently a Division Fellow at Lincoln Laboratory and is a member of the U.S. Army Science Board. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Central University. He later earned his Ph.D. in physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. He also studied at Bonn University, Germany, as a Fulbright Fellow, and at the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
