Mr. Jordan is President of F. E. Jordan Associates, Inc. (FEJA), which provides professional civil and structural engineering, planning, architecture, environmental, and construction management services to a variety of public and private clients. As the first African American-owned civil engineering and construction management firm in California, the firm has planned, designed and managed the construction of over a 1,000 projects throughout the Western U.S., Africa and Central America. FEJA has received over 45 awards for business and engineering excellence, including Best Minority Contractor for the State of California (presented by the Governor), and was noted as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Minority Businesses in the United States (presented by FOX-TV and the US Department of Commerce). FEJA also received awards for the construction management on the $242 million San Francisco International Airport’s Elevated Roadways and the Chas. P. Howard Container Terminal, Port of Oakland, CA, which was rated the most outstanding container terminal design in the world. The firm, in joint venture, is the construction program manager of the $1.3 billion Oakland International Airport Expansion and development of the 42-story St. Regis Hotel/ Condominium complex in San Francisco, CA.
