Dr. Frank Alphonso Crossley, Ph.D., Met.E. Dr. Frank Crossley is a pioneer in the field of titanium metallurgy. He began his work in metals at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago after receiving his graduate degrees in metallurgical engineering. In the 1950s, few African Americans were visible in the engineering fields, but Dr. Crossley excelled in his field. He received six patents, five in titanium base alloys. His research greatly improved the aircraft and aerospace industry. He has published over fifty papers in journals and symposia. He is listed in several who' who including Who's Who in America, 41st, 1980-81 through 61st, 2007 Editions. |
