Dr. William T. Brown, Ph.D. Dr. William Brown is a Principal Scientist with a research organization where he has worked since 1992, serving as a Senior Scientist and Group Leader. Prior to this position, he was a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories where he conducted research in diverse areas, including piezoelectricity and ferroelectricity. Dr. Brown has more than 30 years experience in diverse areas of applied science and project management. He has expertise in the formulation of high pressure equations of state and constitutive models, and in computational physics. He is a recognized expert in fracture generated field emissions (Fracto-emissions). Dr. Brown has also authored or co-authored more than 80 journal articles, conference proceedings, and reports. He is member of the American Physical Society (APS), and of the APS Topical Group on Computational Physics and the Topical Group on Shock Propagation in Condensed Matter. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the National Technical Association and the National Consortium for Black Professional Development. |
